Breaking the cycle of poverty

Haciendo Camino is a social organization founded in 2006 by Catalina Hornos to support families in vulnerable situations in northern Argentina. Through programs in nutrition, health, early stimulation for expectant mothers and vocational training, they work to improve the quality of life of thousands of families, generating real opportunities for development. Today the organization runs 15 child development and family-strengthening centers, with presence in more than 40 localities across Santiago del Estero, Chaco and Salta, and supports more than 2,000 families every month.

As Haciendo Camino kept growing and onboarding new sponsors, a new challenge emerged: sustaining efficient donation management across an ever-larger base. What once worked with isolated tools and manual processes became hard to sustain. Information was spread across different platforms and following up with each donor took up more and more of the team's time. In an organization where every donation is key to sustaining its programs and supporting thousands of families each month, this lack of efficiency began to impact operations directly. In that context, managing the donor base stopped being just an administrative task and became a strategic challenge.

To support the growth of its donor base without increasing operational load, Haciendo Camino centralized information and automated key processes.

By integrating Salesforce and Debi, the team was able to:

One of the most valued changes was automating declined payment alerts, which simplified follow-up and improved communication with donors.

Since they started operating with Debi in September 2022, Haciendo Camino has scaled its donor program and significantly improved the efficiency of its collections process. During this period, they recovered more than 88 million pesos in donations, strengthening the sustainability of their programs.
